Weather in the mountains

Southerly currents will carry very humid air masses towards the Alps. In the evening, the current turns to the north.
Clouds and rain often obstruct visibility on the mountains. The snow line will drop from 3000 metres at the beginning of the event to around 2500 metres at the end of the event; in the north it may snow down to 2000 metres. The precipitation will subside from the west during the afternoon.
