Kalymnos has meanwhile become one of the best-known climbing destinations on the planet. The reason for this programme is certainly not its popularity, but rather the area's perfect conditions for a special kind of climbing course.
In terms of content, the programme is designed more as a coaching week than a traditional course. The mountain guide will provide individual advice and hands-on support wherever desired. Participants can choose to focus on climbing technique, tactical approaches, mental skills or belaying technique, including fall training.
With more than 4,000 routes in various sectors — many of which are in the lower difficulty grades yet still of a high standard — there are optimal conditions for improving personal performance, whether you are a motivated beginner or an ambitious sports climber.
As Kalymnos enthusiasts and experienced connoisseurs of the area, we particularly appreciate the relaxed lifestyle and family atmosphere of this small climbing island. Perfect cliffs in a surprisingly authentic and unexpectedly quiet landscape, approaches to the sectors ranging from just a few minutes to half an hour, and the added bonus of views of the Aegean Sea draw us back to this climbing paradise year after year.
The Greek sun is a constant companion, while the ever-present dry wind provides pleasant climbing temperatures.
The idyllic little bays offer a welcome change for swimming and relaxation. We stay in charming, well-managed studios, which serve as our base. We prepare breakfast ourselves and enjoy it on the terrace with a sea view.
