Few mountain ranges have influenced the sport of climbing as much as the Dolomites. Which makes learning how to climb here even more rewarding. Whether you're new to climbing or have only climbed indoors, this course is a great way of establishing the core skills required to climb independently out on rock. Participants will be taught the fundamentals of rock climbing in both leading and seconding. The beautiful Dolomites scenery combined with excellent climbing crags, some of which have been specially rigged for this course, will all contribute to the overall learning experience.

Our 'base camp' for the duration of the course is a particular highlight. We'll be sleeping in tents and sleeping bags, and we'll have access to a cosy, warm group room too. All of the crags are situated in a star-shaped configuration around our camping spot, and easily accessed on foot.

Schedule:
Day 1: Arrival in Val Pusteria. Meet at 09:00 at Braies Valley. At the crag, introduction to protection techniques on rock. Late afternoon, head up to the hut.
Day 2: Abseiling independently, protecting the lead and second, and plenty of climbing.
Day 3: Setting up a belay station and climbing multi-pitch routes are on the menu today. Depart for home in the late afternoon.
