At 3,146 metres, the Hohe Gaisl (known as Croda Rossa in Italian due to its reddish, iron-rich rock) is the northernmost 3,000-metre peak in the Dolomites. What makes it truly special is that a surprisingly large area around the main summit remains wild and untouched, preserving the mountain's original character. It is exactly this mythical landscape – far from civilisation and set in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage Dolomites – that we will experience up close as we circumnavigate the massif.
For accommodation, we will stay:
- one night in a mountain hotel at 2,000 metres with a small wellness area
- one night in a comfortable mountain hut
- one night exclusively in a beautifully located alpine hut reserved just for our group.
The tours themselves are not particularly difficult. With daily ascents of around 800 to just over 1,000 metres, they are very manageable and the technical demands remain moderate.
