You already have some climbing experience but would like to refine your techniques and venture into multi-pitch routes? This course is designed for you!
To master multi-pitch routes, in addition to belaying techniques, extensive practice will focus on placing and using mobile protection devices. Building anchors on pitons and nuts, as well as basic improvised mountain rescue exercises, are also part of the course content. The history of climbing in the Dolomites and the resulting ethics will run like a common thread through these three exciting and rewarding days.
You will also receive tips on how to take your climbing to the next level. The maximum number of 6 participants guarantees high-quality instruction.
Camping at Camping Sass Dlacia is ideal, as numerous climbing opportunities are located in the immediate vicinity.
Program:
Day 1:
Arrival in Val Pusteria. Meeting point at 9:00 a.m. at Ehrenburg (Kiens) train station, followed by carpooling. At the crag, the most important rope techniques and current belaying methods will be reviewed. Late afternoon check-in at the campsite and shared cooking.
Day 2:
Anchor building, placement of mobile protection as a dry practice exercise, followed by climbing a multi-pitch route.
Day 3:
Tour planning, orientation, and independently climbing a multi-pitch route are the main focus of the day. Return home in the late afternoon.
