The Drei Zinnen (German for "Three Peaks"), also called the Tre Cime di Lavaredo (Italian), are three distinctive battlement-like peaks, in the Sexten Dolomites of northeastern Italy. They are probably one of the best-known mountain groups in the Alps. Until 1919 the peaks formed part of the border between Italy and Austria. The iron roads we find nowadays, are nothing else then renovated roads of war from that time. On these iron roads it is possible to us, to climb many bizarre Dolomit peaks and from here we have marvellous view on the wild mountain group around the Drei Zinnen. The selected iron roads are more or less easy, but require a good physical condition.
