In the wintery Dolomites, keen ski tourers can immerse themselves in the rugged landscape of our home mountains on a three-day tour! Our mountain guides and local experts are well informed about the current snow and avalanche conditions and can suggest suitable tours.

The proposed ski tours all have a medium difficulty level of between 1,000 and 1,350 vertical metres.

The base is a centrally located inn in Hochpustertal, from which the tour starting points can be reached quickly.

Program: Each day, three suitable ski tours in the surroundings of Toblach (Höhlensteintal, Prags, Misurina, Toblach and Sexten) will be selected for participants.

Difficulty

Ascent

x Previous ski touring experience is required. Expect ascents of 1000–1500 m over 4–5 hours.
Frequent kick turns are required. Ski crampons (harscheisen) and possibly regular crampons may be
needed. A solid downhill technique in all snow conditions is required. You must be able to confidently
master various downhill techniques, including terrain up to 35°.

Descent

x You must be confident skiing in all snow conditions. Steeper sections than 35° may be
encountered. The ability to perform secure and independent side-sliding in steep terrain or narrow couloirs
is essential.
