x Ascent pace: 250–350 metres of vertical ascent per hour. Basic ski touring experience is required.
Ascents of 800–1,200 metres (3–5 hours). Occasional kick turns may be required during the ascent; the
ability to perform kick turns is advantageous. Controlled parallel skiing on good snow is required. Short,
steeper sections of up to 35° may be encountered on the descent.

x You should be able to ski in all snow conditions at slopes up to 35° steep. You will need to be
confident at side-slipping in short, steep sections or narrow gullies.
