Where “WILD” is written on the packaging, it should also be inside. That is why during these three days we gladly do without any unnecessary “frills” and instead enjoy the purity and beauty of wild life and nature. When the first rays of sun tickle us awake in our sleeping bags, when after a steep ascent we are rewarded with wide views over deserted valleys and spectacular seas of peaks, when while abseiling—hanging on house-high rock walls—the air almost takes our breath away, when in the evening the experiences of the day turn into stories shared together, then we feel this purity and this beauty.

And where, if not in the Dolomites, can you experience so much adventure, authenticity and beauty in just three days? Because adventure accompanies us on this Wild Trail day and night. During the day we hike and scramble, abseil down rock walls and into caves, and refresh ourselves in icy mountain lakes. The swing through a gigantic rock window and the discovery of forgotten war tunnels from the First World War are further spectacular highlights in the program.

The nights, however, are spent outside in the open air under the unfiltered starry sky—as long as the weather gods allow it. In case of rain, the hut floor offers the welcome alternative for our mat and sleeping bag.

The authenticity of the Dolomites is experienced simply by hiking away from tourist crowds, on remote paths and in pathless terrain. Our mountain guides not only know the loneliest routes, they even build temporary exclusive via ferratas which are dismantled again after the group has passed.

Real encounters with the people who live and work in the beautiful yet rugged regions of the Dolomites are also an important part of these three days. From the generous hut host who cooks just for us, to the tough shepherdess whose sheep we may accompany to their night enclosure, we meet personalities that only the mountains can shape.

With our Wild Trail “Dolomites – WILD.door” we especially want to invite those mountaineers who like it short and punchy. Participants must be able to move independently and safely in pathless terrain and have enough endurance for longer day tours with up to 1000 m of elevation gain per day. The tour will be especially enjoyable for those who like to scramble and sometimes surf down scree. Real climbing ability, independent abseiling and via ferrata experience are not required. The tour is therefore also suitable for motivated Wild Trail beginners.

What participants say

“Hi Michi, I found this Wild Trail amazing. Especially the three days were so densely packed with new impressions and experiences that it never became boring, there was always something new building the excitement. I found that brilliant. I wrote to Hubert: ‘What GLOBO ALPIN discovered and made possible in these three days is hardly surpassed in intensity and variety of impressions: cave, hanging in the open while abseiling, accompanying sheep with dogs, meeting strong characters, the most remote areas without paths, pure Dolomites nature, and as the icing on the cake the weather (sun and rain).’” - Klaus
