Wherever it says "WILD" on the label, it
should be wild inside, too. That’s why, during these three days, we gladly do
without all the usual "bells and whistles" and embrace the purity and
beauty of wild life and nature. When the first rays of sunshine tickle us awake
in our sleeping bags, when a steep ascent rewards us with sweeping views over
remote valleys and dramatic sea of peaks, when we're left breathless while
rappelling down towering rock faces, and when the day's adventures turn into
stories shared in good company at night—that’s when we truly feel that purity
and beauty.
And where better than the Dolomites to
experience so much adventure, authenticity, and natural beauty in just three
days?!
Because on this Wild Trail, adventure accompanies us day and night. By day, we
hike and scramble, rappel down cliffs and into caves—some of them mysterious
ice caves—and refresh ourselves in icy mountain lakes. At night, we sleep
outdoors under the unfiltered starlit sky, as long as the weather gods allow.
If it rains, the wooden hut floor offers a welcome alternative for our mats and
sleeping bags.
We experience the authenticity of the Dolomites
simply by hiking away from the tourist crowds, along remote trails and across
trackless terrain. Our mountain guides not only know the most secluded
routes—they even build temporary exclusive via ferratas just for our group,
which are dismantled after we pass through.
True encounters with the people who live and work in
these beautiful yet harsh Dolomite landscapes are also an essential part of
this adventure. From shepherds who give us insight into their daily lives, to a
generous mountain host who cooks exclusively for us—we meet personalities that
only the mountains can shape.
Our Wild Trail "Dolomites – WILD.door"
is especially for those mountaineers who like it short, intense, and exciting.
Participants should be able to move independently and confidently in unmarked
terrain and have enough endurance for full-day hikes with up to 1000 meters of
elevation gain per day. This tour is especially fun for those who love
scrambling and even a bit of scree surfing. No actual climbing skills,
independent rappelling, or via ferrata experience is necessary. It’s also
perfect for motivated Wild Trail beginners.
