The Selvaggio Blu is simply unparalleled! Trekking along the Sardinian rocky coastline is an experience like no other, and that's what makes it so special. The name "Wild Blue" is absolutely perfect! It says so much and leaves everything open at the same time. Guardians of the trail, guidebooks have bestowed a prestigious title upon this trek: the "most difficult" in Italy and one of the 100 most beautiful treks on the planet! Embark on a six-day adventure from Santa Maria Navarrese, weaving through the majestic cliffs of the Gulf of Orosei until you reach the enchanting Cala Gonone. And if that wasn't enough, the Sardinian cliff coast is wild and untouched, with its dreamlike coves just waiting to be discovered.

Sometimes just above sea level and sometimes more than 700 m above the sea, sometimes on shepherd paths and sometimes through pathless terrain, sometimes along exposed rock ledges and sometimes through the wild shrubs of the Sardinian macchia, the trek follows the coastline. The adventure starts with the thrilling challenge of finding the route, and of course, there's the exciting quest for drinking water! We are thrilled to say that we supply ourselves with fresh food and water via boat transport! We don't provide tents, but we love spending nights under the open starry sky or, in bad weather, under one of the many rock overhangs. Imagine the invigorating swim in the sea after a day of trekking, the evening gatherings on the beach, the star-filled nights in a warm sleeping bag and the sound of the waves while you sleep. This is the perfect way to experience the adventure and wild romance of the island.

The daily stages may not be very long in terms of distance, and the elevation gain is usually below 700 metres per day, but that doesn't make the Selvaggio Blu any less demanding! Even the easier climbing sections, the heat, the thirst and the large amount of pathless terrain are all part of the adventure. The best way to get a feel for the Selvaggio Blu is to check out the photos on this page, where you'll find images of this incredible adventure.

The Selvaggio Blu has now become world-famous, and it's no surprise why! This is fantastic news! During the high season in May and October, many aspirants follow its tracks. Here at GLOBO ALPIN, we've been exploring this area for 10 years and have led countless groups, so we've got the local knowledge to help you avoid the crowds! We'll take you to the best, most off-the-beaten-track spots, and show you the best abseil points and sleeping spots.

We are thrilled to announce that, from now on, sleeping directly on the beach is not only permitted, it is also prohibited!

For those who prefer a less frequented Wild Trail Selvaggio, we are delighted to announce that the Extreme variant is now available, along with our SECRET Wild Trail Via Colorara (details on request).
