Embark on an unforgettable climbing safari through the Dolomites and ascend some of its most iconic summits via challenging yet secluded classic routes. Designed for experienced mountaineers and climbers who appreciate traditional Dolomite climbing, this programme offers the chance to fully immerse yourself in the solitude and rugged beauty of this extraordinary mountain world.
Our journey begins at a guesthouse in the Puster Valley, where we will discuss the programme and plan the week ahead.
On the second day, we will climb the Gretaline (V) on the Western Peak (2,973 m), which is part of the legendary Three Peaks. After spending the night at the iconic Dreizinnenhütte, on the third day we climb Paternkofel (2,744 m) via the spectacular Northwest Ridge (IV). After this intense day, we retreat to the Zsigmondyhütte for a peaceful overnight stay.
On day four, we ascend the Hochleist (2,413 m) via the challenging Hochleistkante – Schranzhofer Route (V). Back at the guesthouse in the valley, we enjoy a well-earned rest before ascending to Rifugio Città di Carpi the following day.
On day six, we reach the impressive Campanile Dülfer (2,706 m), whose striking south ridge (V-) offers a true classic challenge. The grand finale of this adventure is the ascent of Punta Col di Varda (2,504 m) via the historic Comici Route (V), after which we descend back into the valley to reflect on an exceptional week in the mountains.
This climbing safari combines technical challenges with the opportunity to experience the raw and often secluded beauty of the Dolomites. Each route is a classic and each night spent in a mountain hut provides well-deserved rest after a day of adventure. Join us as we follow in the footsteps of the great alpinists high above in the Dolomites.
