Admittedly, it is not easy to leave the emerald-green sea and stunning beaches of Sardinia behind in order to venture into the island’s mountainous interior. Yet it is precisely here that our hiking journey begins — an adventure on foot combined with local transfers through the island’s remarkably diverse landscapes.
In the hinterland, we discover an island shaped by millennia of tradition and mysterious ancestors. At first, the mountainous terrain may seem rugged and austere, but on closer inspection, you will discover vast expanses of untouched natural beauty. In spring, colourful carpets of wildflowers cover the landscape. The aromatic scent of Mediterranean maquis accompanies us everywhere — wild herbs, rosemary, oregano and endless expanses of white and pink rockrose in bloom.
We experience the dramatic limestone formations of the Supramonte, often described as the 'Dolomites of Sardinia', the wild coastline of the Selvaggio Blu, the dreamlike 'Moon Bay', and a paradise-like island wilderness, stage by stage and step by step.
