Situated at 2,000 metres above sea level on the southern side of the Splügen Pass, the village of Monte Spluga blends Swiss alpine charm with Italian lifestyle in a uniquely harmonious way.
Our base is the historic Hotel Posta, an inn authentically and lovingly run by the Sala family. It is renowned for its exceptional cuisine and extensive wine selection.
What makes this location truly unique is that almost all ski tours can be started directly from the hotel. In Spluga, enjoyment means exceptional ski touring combined with excellent food and fine wines in a cosy alpine atmosphere. Nearly the entire touring area lies above the tree line and the wide, open slopes are at their finest in spring when perfect firn conditions prevail.
For the highest and steepest summits, which require previous alpine touring experience, we can choose between the fore-summit and the winter summit, depending on the conditions. This does not diminish the overall experience in any way, however.
