The area around the Three Peaks played a central role in the tragic events of the First World War. This area was home to some of the fiercest fighting in the entire Dolomites, with the front line running right through it. Many relics from that time can still be seen today. Most of the well-known and popular via ferrata routes date back to that period. These are now beautiful, moderately difficult routes in an unparalleled setting and have become firm favourites among via ferrata climbers. As mountain guides, we always enjoy showing our guests the unique rock formations of the Three Peaks area, which remains special despite its popularity.
We will be based at a comfortable three-star hotel in Alta Pusteria. This gives us the flexibility to choose the most suitable tour destination each day based on the conditions.
